Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy may have origins in antiquity with the use of infused aromatic oils, made by macerating dried plant material in fatty oil, heating and then filtering. The purpose of aromatherapy is altering a person's mind, mood, or health.
When oil containing reach the optimum level of therapeutic constituents is diffused, the result fosters a sense of emotional balance and well-being. Other than that, essential oils that are applied to the skin can be absorbed into the bloodstream. The constituents of essential oils can aid in health & beauty.
Smell is the only one of the five senses directly linked to the limb lobe—the emotional control center—of the brain. From anxiety to depression, stress, essential oils have long been appreciated for their uplifting, calming, and clarifying effects on emotional wellness.
By diffusing essential oils or applying them topically to targeted areas of the body, therapeutic constituents reestablish balance where stress, depression, or mental discomfort has disrupted healthy emotional function.
How to use?
1. Baths
Adding aromatherapy oils to your bath is an easy way to cash in on their health benefits. Simply add a few drops to the bathwater and blend it before submerging yourself. The aroma will trigger your olfactory sense, which will in turn enhance your circulation and help to bring about physical balance.
2.Aromatherapy Massage
Is the most popular method of aromatherapy. Blending drops of essential oil with carrier lotions (almond, cocoa butter, Shea butter, etc) can affect the body both psychologically and physiologically - depending on which essential oil you use. For example, Peppermint is known to energize the senses whereas lavender is a known relaxing agent.
3.Aromatherapy Vapor Inhalation (steam)
Many essential oils are thought to alleviate sinus or respiratory issues, steam inhalation is a very popular application method.
